You must have seen me in the packets in the grocery stores' shelf. You have worn me in the linen form.

I come from a fiber crop also popularly known as linseed. If you see any 5 petaled blue flower like this- that's my buoy!

1. I am a rich source of high-fiber so I am of great help to people suffering from problems of constipation. Hence, also improve your mood. Jokes apart, Studies have shown that intake of flax seeds help in fighting anxiety and depression.

2. You heard of omega 3 fatty acids that are good for your brain and heart.
Only trans fats lead to the cholesterol problems otherwise fats are the essential nutrients that help in the absorption of fat soluble vitamins. Omega 3 fatty acids belong to the best type of fats i.e., Polyunsaturated fats found primarily in some fishes, nuts and seeds; it is a fat that one should not run away from. Your body does not produce this on its own.
During pregnancy, the deficiency of omega 3 is linked to low intelligence, poor eyesight and an increased risk of several health problems.

Note: Pregnant women should ask their doctors first depending on their health conditions. He will advise whether to have it or not because it may have instill menstruation in some cases or other complications if overdosed.

3. Feeling hungry most of the time??
You feel those hunger pangs after every 15 mins and need something to munch on? What's better than me- healthy and satiating seeds ever.

4. Lose Weight
Being rich in fiber which results in absorption of lot of liquid. Your stomach feels full and no craving= no unhealthy, easy available substitutes like cookies, chips and other snacks= NO weight gain.
Also I help your stomach in flushing out unhealthy trans fats, So say thank you please! 😊

Don't you worry, don't you worry child
See flax seeds gotta plan for you..
The fibers help in absorption of bile which mainly contains cholesterol out of your system. High BP, blood clots and artery inflammation can be treated with the regular consumption.

6. I love ladies!
I reduce the chances for breast cancer and improve uterine function like irregular periods, menopausal symptoms, control heavy bleeding,
By increasing the amount of calcium in bones, I improve bone and joint health. As a result, reducing the chances of arthritis.

7. Hair fall
Men must be alarmed by this point. Yes! the essential nutrients prevent the hairfall and promotes the growth of new hair follicles.

8. For your EYES only
DHA, a type of omega-3, is a major structural component of the brain and retina of the eye.

9. For KIDS
Omega-3 fatty acids are crucial for brain growth and development in infants.

10. Adding 1 tbsp to your smoothie or morning cereal can really reduce dryness and alleviate acne issues. I have the combination of the essential nutrients and anti-oxidants for your skin and nails.

Start your morning with a dose by adding me to your cereals, milk or smoothie. In fact you can eat me anytime.

You can consume me 3-4 tablespoon/day*
The recommended intake of total dietary fiber is 25 g/day for women and 38 g/day for men.
1 tablespoon = 1 gm

Today, we are consuming more than 10 times as many omega-6 fatty acids as we are omega-3 fatty acids because of the increase of highly processed foods in modern diets. Eating less omega-6 and more omega-3 fats, from foods like ALA-rich flax seed, can help lower the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, stroke and cancer as well as lower LDL (bad) cholesterol.

Chew properly because swallowing them can lead to indigestion and will leave body without any effects.

Boost your mornings with a dose of healthy breakfast
Happy eating!
